For the last three decades, that dream has been a thriving reality; and today Randy not only serves his community, but also provides communities across the country with the highest level of product and service. Randy’s list of awards and accolades runs long, but some of his most coveted honors include: The Detroit News “Michiganian of the Year” Award, Inc. Magazine “Michigan Entrepreneur of the Year” Award and Home Care Magazine “Dealership of the Year” Award. Randy’s steadfast commitment to innovation, quality and care are clearly reflected in Home Care America’s ever-evolving story of growth and success.
Chief Operating Officer
With over 25 years of experience serving as CEO, COO and CFO of multiple hospital venture allied companies, the expertise and insight Jack brings to Home Care America is invaluable. Jack oversees all operations involving home medical equipment, home infusion therapy and orthopedics and prosthetics in Home Care America’s two hospital venture entities. During his time at the company, Jack has forged a major partnership with a large regional hospital system and expanded the company into new product categories. Immediately prior to joining HCA, he co-founded and directed a hospital-affiliated clinical laboratory network comprised of more than 120 hospitals that is nationally recognized as the leading network of its type in the United States.
Patrick J. Smerecki
Senior Vice President
In his 28 years with Home Care America, Patrick’s client-first, never-say-no attitude has played an enormous role in the company’s expansion and success. Patrick oversees all compliance and accreditation programs, hospice contracts and all renovations to Home Care America’s multiple facilities, in addition to his other administrative duties. Patrick has held multiple positions during his time with the company, making him a true Home Care America expert. He has played a crucial role in forging all the company’s venture partnerships, integrating hospice programs into the business and bringing the West Michigan facility online. For Patrick, the most rewarding aspect of his job is working with the exceptionally dedicated team at Home Care America.
Henry Robert Shearouse
Chief Financial Officer
A member of the Home Care America team for over 24 years and currently serving as Chief Financial Officer, Henry manages the financial planning of our growing company. His meticulous record keeping and reporting has allowed Home Care America to reach the level of success we experience today. In addition to managing the financial aspects of the company, Henry also oversees the IT department, ensuring that our systems and protocol run smoothly and efficiently.
Vice President of Business Operations
In her 25 years at Home Care America, Marlene has earned a reputation amongst referral sources, clients and co-workers for her “can-do” attitude and attention to detail. Thriving in the company’s fast-paced and ever-changing work environment, Marlene manages her dedicated staff while ensuring that all business aspects are in order at Home Care America.
VP of Orthotic and Prosthetic Services
Dan came to Home Care America with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He has a clinical background in occupational therapy as a COTA and functioned as a Medical Rehabilitation Surveyor for the Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities specializing in Acute, Subacute and Brain Injury Rehabilitation for nearly a decade. As VP of O & P services, Dan develops all programs as well as leads the business development initiatives for the division — all while establishing and strengthening wonderful relationships with Home Care America’s ever-growing network of physicians and healthcare systems.
Mike Lehr, RPh
Director of Pharmacy Services
With over 30 years of pharmacy management experience covering hospitals, long-term care pharmacy and home infusion, Mike joined Home Care America in 2010 as Director of Pharmacy Services. Mike is currently responsible for all pharmacy operations including Oakwood Infusion Services and Oakwood Residential Care Pharmacy. In addition, Mike is a Pharmacy Site Visitor with the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP).
As Director, Theresa manages the sales marketing initiatives and oversees client relations for one of Home Care America’s largest affiliate programs. Theresa also assists in new business ventures, which include launching satellite locations and expanding the physician client roster. Her success at forging and maintaining strong, positive relationships with Home Care America’s joint venture partners has proven invaluable.
